June 30th, 2000

Greetings from the headquarters of the international conglomeration known as APeX Ministries.

We would like to thank the folks at Disciples Now for sponsoring the chat room on Tuesday night. We would also like to thank everyone who stopped by, even if it was just for a few minutes. It looks like we will be doing it again at the end of September or beginning of October. This time there were even special guest appearances from Gene's mom and Gene's senior year prom date. So who knows who will drop in next time. Stay tuned for details.

Recently we made a trip to North Carolina. While we were down there we received a lot of help from a number of people. Some went well above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. After the last DAA we received a call from one of these people, wondering how we could have over looked his help. He wondered why there was no public thanks for all of his work. And he is right. We should have publicly named and thanked him for all of his work. We are very sorry. Such an error will not happen again.

Your brothers in Christ
Gene and Brad

PS: Don't forget to forward this on to your friends who would appreciate this.

Ask APeX

In each Digital APeX Attacks, you, our fine reader, will have the opportunity to get those burning questions that keep you up at night answered. Here are a few questions that have been posed recently.

What type of music do you listen to?
Brad: A lot of different stuff. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Enya, sometimes it's the Indiana Jones soundtrack… most of the time I prefer up beat punk rock.

When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

Brad: For a long time I wanted to be an astronaut. Now I conquer gravity in a different way.

Gene: 1st grade, a fireman; 2nd grade, a priest; 5th grade, a marine biologist (very odd for someone growing up in Wyoming); 11th grade, a computer programmer; today, a teacher

Do you ever think you will have kids?
Brad: Absolutely! And they'll be absolutely adorable if they look anything like my beautiful wife.

Gene: Let's work on getting a date first, then we can worry about the steps that come after.
Why is the sky blue?

Brad: Because it's a reflection of a part of God's beauty.

Gene: If it was green we would not know when to mow the lawn.

A Prayer Request from Brad

I would like to thank those of you who have responded to my prayer request in the last Digital APeX Attacks. My mother-in-law, Kaleen Kasten, and my grandfather, Harold Amburn are still in need of prayer, and I invite you to continue to pray for them. I would also like to thank all of you who have lifted our ministry in your prayers. It is only through the prayers of many that this ministry continues and through the grace of God that lives are affected. I have seen the awesome power of God working in many lives. I have witnessed the awesome power of prayer in my own life, and continue to feel its healing and strengthening work. I know with the certainty of faith through grace that there is effectiveness in our prayers as humans. Small and insignificant we may feel at times as simple creations next to the awesome power of God, but it is through His own design that we are made to share in the saving work begun in Christ Jesus. I urge you never to lose hope in your prayers and remain vigilant in your relationship with God. Know that indeed our prayers are heard, and indeed they are answered, though beyond our own understanding at times. Once again I invite your to take a moment, before reading any further, before closing this message, before doing anything less, and spend some time lifting your heart and mind to the Power that made all things and rules all things. Take a moment right now for prayer, and express your heart to the One that already sees all that is in it. Your spirit already knows the prayer it yearns to give voice to. I invite you now to pause and let that prayer find its way beyond your own heart.
