For those of you who are wondering what this is, let us explain.
You are getting this publication because sometime over the last
year or so you encountered the incredibly funny and amazingly
talented (well, at least we like to think so) juggling and comedy
team [trumpets blast and fanfare] APeX (or as our mothers call
us, Gene and Brad). We are now one year old (well, we are a little
older than that as a team). Our first anniversary of our incorporation
as a not-for-profit organization was February 7th. (It is hard
for us to believe as well. Gene really doesn't look a day over
9 months). We felt our anniversary would be a great opportunity
to share some of the adventures we have had (and by working on
this it gives us one more excuse not to do the dishes. "Sorry...
I would love to help you, [insert any of our four roommates
names], but I have to get this newsletter out"). We also
thought it would be a good chance to share where we are heading
over the next few months and the next year (so that if we are
in your neck of the woods you can stop by or hide the small children
depending on the experience you had with us last time.). Hopefully
as we move forward you should be receiving one of these three
or four times a year. If for some reason you can think of someone
else who would enjoy getting this lovely publication, please
let us know. We will get them on our mailing list. For those
of you who are still scratching your head trying to figure out
who these two clowns are (actually we are not clowns, we are
jugglers, but that is dissociation for a different time) below
you find brief bios of us both to jog your memory. The reason
this publication is called APeX Attacks is the story
behind the cover art. The cover is a copy of a flyer which was
sent (not by us) around Fort Worth, TX (we love you, Jeff Hedglen)
to get everyone excited about our ten day tour down there. Basically,
to call this APeX Attacks is a cop out because we where not creative
enough to come up with a name on our own. Enjoy and God Bless! |
